Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong yesterday proceeded to Munich for the last day of his visit in Germany where he toured one of the highest-ranked institutions in Europe and a biotechnology organisation.
He first visited Technische Universität München (TUM), which is renowned as one of Europe's leading universities in research and innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The university's Senior Vice President Prof Claudia Peus shared with Prof Sun information about TUM's wide-ranging industry collaborations and start-up network, tailored consulting services and professional training for anchoring entrepreneurship at all levels of university teaching and practice.
The tech chief also visited BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH to understand the biotechnology and medicine community and ecosystem in the state of Bavaria and the organisation's support to Bavarian biotech companies in accelerating innovation and growth.
