The Land Registry recorded 7,076 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in December, down 2.3% from November and 6.8% lower year-on-year.
The total consideration for such agreements rose 39.4% from November to $87.8 billion in December, and 24.9% year-on-year increase was recorded.
Of the agreements, 5,145 were for residential units, down 4.9% from November and 15.2% lower than a year ago.
The total consideration of residential units was $48.5 billion, a decrease of 5.4% compared with November and down 17.4% from December 2020.
