Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung today watched the table tennis mixed doubles bronze and gold medal matches, as well as the badminton women’s doubles matches of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on the last day of his visit to France.
Mr Yeung said: “Wong Chun-ting and Doo Hoi-kem performed very well in the competition despite the defeat. We thank them for their hard work and effort and wish them good results in their remaining events.”
He also extended his congratulations at the match venue to the national team for winning a gold medal in table tennis mixed doubles.
Tonight, Mr Yeung will attend Hong Kong, China Night co-hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and the Trade Development Council.
The event gathers representatives of the sports sector from around the world during the Olympic Games, with a view to briefing them on the latest sports development in Hong Kong and fostering exchanges.
Mr Yeung will depart for Hong Kong tomorrow.
