Commissioner for Tourism Vivian Sum, joined by the Travel Industry Authority representatives, visited the Palace Museum and the Garden Road Peak Tram Station today, to check on the preparatory work for the Labour Day Golden Week holiday.

They reviewed the preparatory work for receiving visitors implemented by tourist attractions, including the arrangements for people and vehicle flow such as managing visitor queues, ticketing centre manpower, coach parking as well as boarding and alighting.

During the Mainland's Labour Day Golden Week, major tourist attractions, including Hong Kong Disneyland, the Palace Museum, Ngong Ping 360 and Ocean Park, will extend their opening hours as appropriate and adopt special measures through increasing manpower and close liaison with  government departments, stakeholders of the tourism industry, the Mass Transit Railway and bus companies to cope with the additional flow of people.
