The large-scale outdoor art project “Art@Harbour 2024” will be launched on March 25, bringing a new inspirational and sensory experience at the Victoria harbourfront through outdoor art installations and digital art facades.

Featuring the integration of art, science, and technology, the art programme will showcase five projects on both sides of Victoria Harbour, including teamLab: Continuous by international art collective teamLab.

Held at Tamar Park and Central & Western District Promenade (Central Section), the teamLab show will present Resonating Life which Continues to Stand, showcasing hundreds of colourful luminous ovoids with continuously changing colours and sound triggered by visitors’ interactions.

Another teamLab piece, Resonating Trees, will make the light of dozens of trees in the park spread, changing its colour and resonating sound tones in response to the ovoids.

The exhibits will span the lawns of Tamar Park and extend to Victoria Harbour, triggering a mesmerising display of kaleidoscopic colours and soothing soundscapes through people's participation.

An “Art@Harbour2024” project close-by, Science in Art, will feature two interactive art installations created by local art group LAAB Architects and local artist Danny Kwok at the Central section of the same promenade.

Another three projects, in Tsim Sha Tsui, are independently orchestrated and financed by project partners K11 Group, Sino Group and the First Initiative Foundation.

The public will find these art projects at the K11 MUSEA Promenade, in front of the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, and the Sino LuminArt Facade of Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibitions and admission is free.

Except for visiting the Tamar Park lawn area of the teamLab show, advance bookings are not required for other shows. Click here for details.

Separately, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department will organise various activities this year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of heavyweight Chinese martial arts novelist Louis Cha, known as Jin Yong to his readers.

The events will include large-scale exhibitions, talks, a creative writing event and music performances. Click here for more information.
