The Government today said that a total of 470,628 applications for the Temporary Unemployment Relief Scheme had been received by the time the application period ended last night.
The 60,000 or so successful applicants in the first batch should have received their subsidies yesterday or today.
Subsidies for the second batch with about 35,000 successful applicants will be disbursed in turn after the Easter holidays, on either April 19 or 20.
Applicants may log into the scheme's dedicated website to check the application status.
When processing applications, the Government-appointed agent may require applicants to provide additional information to verify their eligibility if necessary.
